Mid & East Antrim

The newly appointed Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Thomas Gordon, has chosen Air Ambulance NI and Rural Support as the official Mayoral Charities for the duration of his term.

Seven residents from Mid and East Antrim have been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours List, receiving awards for their outstanding contributions to education, community service, military history, the economy, humanitarian work and sport.

Gracehill World Heritage Site has an exciting new cross-border initiative, UNESCO Together, funded through the PEACEPLUS Change Makers Programme. The project will connect 14 UNESCO-designated sites across the island of Ireland, strengthening community links and promoting shared heritage.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has appointed its new Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the year ahead.
