Secondary schools from across the Borough have taken part in Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s ‘Food for Thought’ competition which aims to promote food sustainability.

Norman McBurney OBE, founder of McBurney Transport, has told of his delight ahead of being awarded the Honorary Freedom of the Borough by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

Mid and East Antrim’s tourism sector has received a significant boost with the qualification of 19 new tour guides following the successful completion of accredited training - delivered in partnership with Northern Regional College.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is supporting the NI Executive to roll out the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) Strategy, including funding opportunities for organisations in the borough through the new EVAWG Change Fund.
