It is with deep sadness that Mid and East Antrim Borough Council learned of the passing of our esteemed Mayor, Alderman Beth Adger MBE, following a period of illness.

Irish Language Week 2025 is taking place this week and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Bréanainn Lyness, is reminding residents across the Borough of a number of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council events taking place - celebrating the rich history of Irish language across MEA and beyond.

Sixteen local primary schools took part in a unique election experience as part of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s Democracy Week events.
