Community spirit and charity were the focus of the Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Jackson Minford’s charity ball on Saturday 14 March at Galgorm Resort and Spa, Ballymena.
Business, community and voluntary sector representatives attended this enjoyable evening in aid of Mayor Minford’s chosen charities for the year – Chest Heart & Stroke and Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice raising over £5,000.
Over 140 guests had an enjoyable evening of great company, good food, and generous fundraising, all in support of two organisations that provide vital care and support to families across Northern Ireland.
The Mayor commented: “It was wonderful to see so many people come together for two worthy charities. I am truly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the evening such a success.
“The evening was not only about raising much-needed funds. We also wanted to show our appreciation for the dedication of the staff, volunteers and supporters who make this charitable work possible. The generosity shown by our residents and businesses reflect the powerful sense of community we have here in Mid and East Antrim.
“Thank you to everyone who came and helped make a difference to my two fantastic Mayoral charities.”
