Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna, was delighted to attend the ever- popular Camp DalFest at the weekend and praised the organisers for another fantastic festival full of music, fun and entertainment - which was enjoyed by thousands.

Proudly supported by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, the family friendly event within the idyllic Glenarm Castle estate has established itself as one of Northern Ireland’s most popular festivals.

This year a record crowd gathered over two days to enjoy a top line-up of popular music stars such as The Vamps, Sam Ryder, Blue and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, as well as a string of fantastic local acts and performers.

There was also a host of activities for all ages to enjoy, as well as food stalls, amusements, games and comedy.

Mayor, Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna, said: “I commend the organisers of Camp DalFest for another hugely successful event. Thousands braved the ever-changing weather conditions to enjoy a fabulous weekend full of music and entertainment. There was such an amazing buzz at the event and we are so fortunate to have it on our doorstep here in MEA.”

“Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is delighted to support the festival, which continues to grow in popularity every year. Such events are not only brilliant for local people to enjoy, they act as key economic drivers for our retail, tourism and hospitality sectors, and help showcase our stunning Borough and all we have to offer.

“Well done again to everybody involved.”
