Life support training for town centre businesses

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is currently hosting FREE life support training for town centre businesses across the Borough.
48 business representatives are receiving accredited ‘Basic Life Support Training’ delivered by a qualified and experienced instructor from ‘One Stop Safety Training’.
Key areas covered in the training include:
- Assessing an incident
- Casualty assessment
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- Recovery position CPR
- AED safety considerations
- Using an AED
- Combining AED use with CPR
- Using an AED on a child procedures for when emergency services arrive
Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Noel Williams, said: “I’m proud that our Council is providing this vital training for our town centre business owners - the skills gained during the course could really help to save a life.”
