Elegance meets innovation at fabulous Fashion Gala!

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Gerardine Mulvenna, is hosting a fabulous charity Fashion Gala on Thursday 21 March, showcasing the stunning new collection from acclaimed local fashion designer Geraldine Connon, who is celebrating a fantastic 40 years in the fashion industry!
Sponsored by Magheramorne Estate and Geraldine Connon from Larne, the event is one not to miss with a spectacular array of couture pieces, bespoke tailoring and glamorous clothing on display. Proceeds from the event will go to the Mayor’s chosen charities for the year - Women’s Aid ABCLN and ‘This Is Me’ Dementia Friendly Choir.
Fashionistas from Maureen Martin Models will take to the catwalk to celebrate the launch of Geraldine’s anniversary line featuring beautiful spring/summer co-ordinates for every occasion.
The entire performance will also exhibit high-end bespoke clothing - on loan with special permission from Geraldine’s private clients - with special thanks to Brian and Jane Donaldson, Margaret Irvine and Isobel Tweed - plus a number of retro pieces from the early days of her career. The amazing dressers and hair stylist Christina Ross will be working at a frantic pace to ensure everything is perfect on the runway!
21 talented Larne students from local schools will also share the catwalk alongside Geraldine and have the chance to display their works of art - showcasing their creativity and budding fashion design skills.

In what’s sure to be a superb evening out, guests can also sample a wonderful array of delicious Magheramorne tapas, enjoy a glass (or two!) of bubbly while enjoying the magnificent surrounding of Magheramourne Estate – with its inspiring views over Larne Lough and the stunning surrounding landscape.
