Council seeks feedback on its Improvement Plan

This plan will work alongside Council’s Corporate Plan (2024-2028) to improve the Borough and the lives of the people who live there.

The draft plan proposes three broad improvement objectives – working with partners to improve the lives of citizens; maintaining and improving local areas; and reducing environmental impact and improving sustainability.

The plan is now open for public consultation, and Council would like to hear your thoughts.

Responses can be submitted up until 8 April 2026.

Announcing the consultation, Interim Chief Executive of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Valerie Watts, said:

“Value creation has never been more important for our citizens, and for us as an organisation.

“To achieve this, and to guarantee our future sustainability, we continue to scrutinise what we do and how we do it, ensuring our work contributes to the long-term resilience and improvement of the Borough.

“We want to make sure we are using all the resources available to us, in the most efficient and effective way possible for the betterment of residents, businesses and visitors across Mid and East Antrim.

“While some actions will be achievable in the short term, others will require a more sustained effort.

“This consultation focuses on shaping our annual Performance Improvement Plan, which demonstrates improvement in the next financial year.

“Your participation in its development is very important to us.

“Every response will be carefully considered and will play an important role in the shaping of our final plan.”
