Liz Weir Beth performed her role as a councillor and first citizen to the hishest standards, demonstrating a terrific work ethic, welcoming people from all backgrounds at events and showing the best of the Borough. I knew her since the 70s when she stepped in to look after my very young niece when my sister died suddenly . She fostered and cared for many children, greatly enhancing their lives. Her loss is greatest to her family to whom I offer deepest sympathy but our community is also much the poorer for her passing.
