Job Fair - PART 2
Tuesday 8 October from 11am - 2pm
at The Braid, Ballymena

We have had such brilliant support from employers right across Northern Ireland that we will be holding a second jobs fair on Tuesday 8 October from 11am to 2pm at The Braid, Ballymena.

This will provide an opportunity for those affected by redundancies to attend and speak with employers that have live job opportunities and connect with a range of employability support organisations.

Job Opportunities Factory Visit

The Blaney Group of Companies, who have over 25 years of engineering innovation in agriculture, construction, fabrication, Gear systems and Vehicles and will be hosting a job opportunities overview session for former employees at all levels of Wright Bus Group.

Thursday 17 October 2019 at 4pm and 6pm

Kickstart

Are you a business trading for less than nine months?

The Kickstart Programme offers specialist mentoring support to those businesses in the start-up phase of trading.

To access support from the programme, your business must be:

  • Based within the area of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council
  • Intending to start trading within 3 months
  • Trading less than nine months

As part of the programme, you will benefit from:

  • Business diagnostic
  • 13 hours of specialist one-to-one business mentoring and advice
  • Interactive workshops and networking
  • Future planning and goal setting

Business Escalator

Looking for ways to grow your business?

Amplify Business Escalator programme is dedicated to providing business growth support to existing businesses and social enterprises, through a bespoke, FREE, one-to-one mentoring service.

To access support from the programme, your business must be:

  • Based within the area of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council
  • Trading more than 6 months
  • Have less than 50 employees
  • Unable to access existing business support

As part of the programme, you will benefit from mentoring in the areas of:

  • Planning & Development
  • Financial Management
  • Marketing
  • ICT
  • E-commerce
  • Sales
  • Exporting

Exploring Enterprise

Thinking of starting your own business or seeking employment opportunities?

This is a free programme which provides an insight into starting a business or allows you to take the first steps to gaining employment. You do not need to have a business idea to join! The programme offers mentoring and training at a pace tailored to your needs and you will have the opportunity to work towards achieving a CCEA Level 1 Qualification in Understanding Business Enterprise.

You will be provided with one-to one mentoring with an experienced business advisor in areas such as:

  • Marketing
  • Financial Planning
  • Introduction to HMRC
  • Job searching/Job applications/CV
  • Searching for further education courses and/or other relevant training

To be eligible for this programme you must be:

  • Aged 16 or over;
  • Legally able to reside and work in the UK;
  • Unemployed/ inactive or working/ studying less than 16 hours per week; and
  • Not participating in any other government funded programme.

Stride Employability

What is STRIDE?  Support and Training to Realise Individual Development and Employment (STRIDE) is a project designed to help people living with disability or health-related conditions who are out of work move towards employment or further education.

To access support through STRIDE you must be:

Unemployed, living with a disability or health condition, wanting to access employment and training opportunities

As part of the STRIDE Programme you will benefit from:

Verve Employability

Verve is a training and employment programme run by NOW Group.  It is open to anyone over 16 who has a learning difficulty, learning disability, autism or associated health condition and would like support in gaining employment.

Verve employment team can provide you with:

  • A dedicated employment officer to help you prepare for work or volunteering
  • Help to find the job you want and support you in your new position
  • Access to a range of training courses to help you prepare for work and build your CV including customer services, communication, preparing your CV and essential skills
  • Tailored career guidance and access to a Job Club
